From Making History to Raising Taxes by Bill Wilson
Now
that Hillary Clinton has made history by being the first woman nominated
to be president by the Democratic Party, there will be another first if
she is elected--to raise taxes on you by ONE TRILLION dollars.
She says that she will try not to raise taxes on Americans making less
than $250,000, but her proposals say otherwise. She wants an increase in
the death tax-so government can take your inheritance; increase payroll
taxes-money you will never see; a tax increase on gun purchases, soda
drink purchases, income taxes, and $400 billion in what she calls a
"fairness tax."
That means you are really going to get hammered.
All the while, Clinton's donors are finding loopholes to avoid paying
taxes. Take a look.
Mossack Fonseca is a law firm that registers
offshore companies to evade taxes and launder money. Recently, a leak of
its client base through the "Panama Papers" indicated a "who's who" of
close friends of Clinton and her philandering husband.
McClatchy
News reports among them are Gabrielle Flalkoff, finance director for
Hillary Clinton's first US Senate campaign; the Chagoury family, which
pledged $1 billion in projects to the Clinton Global Initiative; and
Chinese billionaire Ng Lap Seng, who was at the center of a Democratic
fund-raising scandal when Bill Clinton was president; and late
billionaire investor Marc Rich an international fugitive when Bill
Clinton pardoned him in the final hours of his presidency.
It
will take years to unravel the Friends of Clintons' shenanigans to evade
taxes, and perhaps even launder money to unscrupulous causes (think
Saudi Arabia, Huma Abidin, Muslim Brotherhood, etc.) using offshore
accounts and the scandal-ridden Clinton Foundation.
But the
hypocrisy of Hillary Clinton is further exposed by her rhetoric against
offshore accounts to avoid paying taxes. McClatchy reports that at the
recent AFL-CIO convention she condemned what she called "outrageous tax
havens and loopholes that super-rich people across the world are
exploiting...Now, some of this behavior is clearly against the law, and
everyone who violates the law anywhere should be held accountable."
Accountable, really?
Hillary Clinton is proposing a ONE TRILLION dollar tax increase if she
is elected. She goes around the country condemning the rich and their
tax avoidance. She collects hundreds of thousands of dollars for her
speeches (which is essentially legal money laundering for her campaign).
Yet her closest allies, who give her and her husband hundreds of
millions of dollars, are suspected money launderers and tax evaders.
There is a warning in Proverbs 22:16, saying, "He that oppresses the
poor to increase his riches, and he that gives to the rich, shall surely
come to want."
Clinton and her ilk oppress the poor while
saying they support the poor. Those that give her a vote will see fruits
of coming to want. She is a destructive person by virtue of her history
and body of work.

Let us come in to His presence with thanksgiving. Psalm 95:2
You are Holy, O Thou that inhabit the praises of Your people. Psalm 22:3
Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things He does for me... Psalm 103:2
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. I Thessalonians 5:16-18
Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
With profound gratitude we thank You, Sovereign Father, for the bounty of blessings You have poured out on America. We acknowledge as a nation that all good things come from Your hand.
Thank You for revealing Yourself to us through Your creation, Your Word, Your Son, Your Spirit, Your truth, and through the wisdom and devotion of Your people.
Thank You that You make Your true character known to those who truly seek You.
Thank You for Your love, dear Father, and for all the ways You provide for us. May we never forget to thank You.
Thank You for entering time and space on earth, Lord Jesus, and for letting us know that You want a relationship with us - each and every one of us. Thank You for providing the way for forgiveness and healing in our lives and in our nation. Thank You for Your patience, Your mercy, Your pardon, Your provision and for Your sacred sacrifice on our behalf. We love you, Lord.
Thank You for the faith of our founders, and for giving them Your wisdom. Thank You for their prayerfulness, and for guiding them to establish this country on the fact that You created all of us equal, and that our rights do not come from other men, they come from You.
Thank You for those who have gone before us who pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to establish this country on principles borne out of Your word. Thank You for their understanding and respect for Your gift of free will.
Thank You for all those who have put their lives on the line for the freedom and welfare of others.
Thank You for the religious freedoms we enjoy - to gather, to worship and to pray.
Thank You that as we pray, we can trust You for answers in Your time, Your will and Your ways.

"Heavenly Father, we bow our heads and thank You for Your love. Accept our thanks for the peace that yields this day and the shared faith that makes its continuance likely. Make us strong to do Your work, willing to heed and hear Your will, and write on our hearts these words: 'Use power to help people.'

How Do They See...
"Politics and platitudes can’t breathe life into our deeply divided inner cities. But Jesus can." -Walter Harvey
Person of faith, you are the only CHURCH, the only representation of the BODY of CHRIST that many lost and dying sinners will see.
Person of faith, you are the only JESUS some people will see, for some people will not go to church, some people will not join life groups, some people will not read the BIBLE, some people will not pray.
Person of faith, you rub shoulders with these people every day--at
work, in the market place, at school, in the highways and byways of
life--they are there beside you.
And they are reading the 'living epistle' of your life. What is that living letter saying to them?
Are they reading of patience or impatience when they see you interact with them under difficult circumstances?
Are they reading of joy or frustration when they see you deal with the challenges you face?
Are they reading hope or despair when they see you react to the evils conveyed in the daily news?
Are they reading forgiveness or condemnation when they observe your response to those who dispitefully use you?
Are they reading love or hatred in your attitude toward those who flaunt their lifestyle?
Are they hearing words of salvation or condemnation when you speak to the lost and dying souls around you?
How do they see 'the church' because of your representation of the Body of CHRIST--the CHURCH--to them?

Grace Will Pardon What It Cannot Prevent?
"The impression of many seems to be, that grace will pardon what it cannot prevent; in other words, that if the grace of the Gospel fails to save people from the commission of sin in this life; it will nevertheless pardon them and save them in sin, if it cannot save them from sin.
"Now, really, I understand the Gospel as teaching that men are saved from sin first, and as a consequence, from hell; and not that they are saved from hell while they are not saved from sin.
"Christ sanctifies when He saves. And this is the very first element or idea of salvation, saving from sin. 'Thou shall call his name Jesus," said the angel, 'for He shall save His people from their sins.'
"'Having raised up his Son Jesus,' says the apostle, 'He hath sent Him
to bless you in turning every one of you from his iniquities.' Let no
one expect to saved from hell, unless the grace of the Gospel saves him
first from sin.' " –Charles Finney
Every Knee
Arrogance seems to pervade our political horizon.
Of the candidates who are running for the highest office in the land, one is confidently assured of her ability to escape the accounting for her traitorous actions that any one of us would have been tried and convicted of doing.
When she seemed on the verge of being held accountable for her misdeeds, her powerful husband stepped in and with a word to Mrs. Lynch, the entire matter was dropped. YOU would not have her ear if your wanton disregard for handling sensitive matters were in question.

The other candidate has dwelt in the refined air of self-confidence and
wealth so long that he feels no need to temper his conversation with
the pleasantries that ordinary people include in their interactions with
one another.
He is accustomed to merely conveying his will to those in his employ who will then facilitate his purposes.
These people bow to no one; they hold nothing in regard above themselves for they are "the elite." Where ordinary citizens must conform to the law or be apprehended by the law, they are simply above the law in a strata of humanity that we will never know --except as we observe them.
But there is a day coming, a day that has been prophesied for over two thousand years when "EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD TO THE GLORY OF GOD." Romans 14:11
For those who have given their lives to CHRIST, that day will be an extension of this, for they already bow before HIM.
For some, it will be an entirely new and incomprehensible experience.

Words to Ponder
“I
command you this day to love the LORD your God and to keep His commands,
decrees, and regulations by walking in His ways. If you do this, you will live
and multiply, and the LORD your God will bless you and the land you are about
to enter and occupy.” Deuteronomy 30:16
Quotes of Presidents
"As
was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said 'the Judgments of
the Lord are true and righteous.'"
Abraham Lincoln
“You've
gotta dance like there's nobody watching, Love like you'll never be hurt, Sing
like there's nobody listening, And live like it's heaven on earth.” William W. Purkey
An Anthropic World
August 1
An Anthropic World by Dr. D. James Kennedy
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. —Genesis 1:27
The 500th anniversary of Copernicus’ birth was celebrated in 1973.
Copernicus showed that the earth was not at the center of the universe, a scientific finding used to displace the earth and man from their presumed place of central importance in the cosmos.
In celebrating the Copernican revolution, his followers were celebrating the demise of man and, more importantly, the demise of God.
However, at the celebration Brandon Carter, a highly reputed astronomer from Oxford, discussed his discovery of certain strange and almost inexplicable things in the world of particle physics and astronomy.
They all seemed to suggest that this world, and the whole universe, have been made for the purpose of hosting intelligent life on this planet—namely man.
He noted, for example, that if the mass of the proton were just a tiny fraction larger or smaller, the entire solar system would collapse. Many similar physical constants, which appear optimized for human existence, point to the fact that this universe seems to have been designed for mankind.
Carter’s “anthropic principle” says that this universe has a “purpose.” This is a dirty word to evolutionists, who have substituted “chance” for “design” and “purpose.”
But suddenly, at the 500th anniversary of the Copernican revolution, when the final spike was being driven into the significance of man, the anthropic principle was born.
Despite man’s attempts to deny God, He has left His fingerprints all over the universe.
Why did God create the world? Perhaps to give man something to ponder eternally. Perhaps simply to glorify Himself.
