The Heart of Perversity

The Heart of Perversity by Bill Wilson
On Friday, December 29, 2017, the State Department released classified emails from Hillary Clinton's aide Huma Abedin found by the FBI on her estranged husband Anthony Weiner's laptop-the one that was used by Weiner to solicit sex from a 15 year old girl, ultimately sending him to prison.
On January 3, The Hill reported that Congressional investigators secured written evidence that the FBI believed laws were broken when Clinton and her aides transmitted classified information through Clinton's insecure private email server.
Furthermore, a small group in the FBI's Washington office controlled the investigation and broke with policy to exonerate Clinton.
No small amount of chicanery.
For exposing this, we can thank Judicial Watch (JW), a conservative, non-partisan educational foundation, promoting transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law. Otherwise this information may have never become public.
JW's Freedom of Information requests and lawsuits exposed the secret dealings of Hillary and Bill Clinton and their minions.
On October 31, 2016, JW released 323 pages of new State Department documents obtained by court order "in which Clinton and top aide Huma Abedin sent classified information over Clinton's clintonemail.com unsecure email system...three of the Clinton-Abedin email exchanges contained material "classified to protect national security.""
On November 1, 2016, I reported, "There are so many more shady dealings and unscrupulous people. Americans are getting a small glimpse of what appears to be a tangled web of organized crime led by the Clintons.
"Moreover, these dealings are the works of those who are the enemies of God. Millions of dollars received from sponsors of Islamic terrorism for access to the US government; government secrets illegally transferred on unsecured networks; people whose influence was bought by campaign funds and job promotions--all done in secret to the enrichment of Clinton and to the advancing of some nefarious agenda."
We are now seeing confirmation of these reports by Congressional investigators.
What would have happened if Clinton had been elected president?
Nothing?
Impeachment?  Highly unlikely!
Proverbs 6:12-19 says, "A naughty person, a wicked man, walks with a perverse mouth. He winks with his eyes, he speaks with his feet, he teaches with his fingers; Perversity is in his heart, he devises mischief continually; he sows discord. Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaks lies, and he that sows discord among brethren."
This perversity is at the heart of Washington, DC politics. These people-Clinton, Abedin, Weiner, Comey--all need to be indicted, charged and tried.

Life's Storms

Life's Storms by Dr. Jim Denison
Life is precious, but sorrow is inevitable. In light of these twin facts, how should we pray today?
If you're in the path of Winter Storm Grayson, know that you are also in the presence of the One who promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Because you are precious to him (Zephaniah 3:17), you can pray for his protection in the storms of life, knowing that no one can take you out of your Father's hand (John 10:29).
If you're not in the path of this horrific storm, please pray urgently for those who are. Pray for emergency personnel who must risk their lives to help others. Pray for the homeless, the elderly, and others who are especially in danger. Pray for ministers to share God's word and love with compassion.
And know that wherever you are, God is.

Direction and Guidance

Direction And Guidance by Dr. D. James Kennedy
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
— Proverbs 3:5-6
You’re at the beginning of a new year. What plans do you have for yourself in the year to come? And how do you choose your goals for each new year?
As we stand at the beginning of another year, Proverbs 3:5-6 offers us direction and guidance. You and I desperately need God’s direction in our lives. How do we receive it? By trusting in the Lord with all of our hearts and not leaning on our own understanding. God doesn’t ask us to stop using our brains, but He does want us to avoid relying on our own self-confidence, despite the world’s affirmation of that trait. Often what the world affirms, the Lord abhors. God wants us to rely on Him and Him alone. So as you choose goals for the year, trust God to guide you. Don’t use your own reasoning to back up your plans; ask God to guide you, then listen for His answer.
The Proverbs passage promises us that if we acknowledge God, He’ll direct our paths. So how do we acknowledge God? We acknowledge our Lord by seeing Him in every aspect of our lives, by having a vision of Him and His providential workings in and through us. We acknowledge Him by seeking Him first in all we do and by obeying His commandments. What has God done in your life recently? And how can you remain obedient to His call on your life?
As we acknowledge God’s rightful place in our lives, He’ll direct us along the pathways of our lives. He does this in three main ways. First, God directs us through His Word. As long as we follow Scripture, we can be certain we’re traveling the right path. Second, God directs us through circumstances in our lives. Sometimes He guides us by opening doors, sometimes by closing them. Sometimes He makes our paths smooth; sometimes He allows us to fall flat on our faces. Sometimes He removes obstacles; sometimes He throws them in our way. Third, God guides us through His Holy Spirit. Sometimes the Spirit’s “still small voice” pulls us back from a venture we’ve planned, and only much later we discover that He has spared us from disaster!
Although we may not always see God’s hand immediately, He does guide us when we trust Him. Often we only see His guidance in retrospect. But we can rely on His promise to provide direction if we trust Him in every aspect of our lives—in our home lives, at work, at school, as we drive our car, as we eat our meals, as we conduct business. As you ponder your goals for the year, invite God to guide you. As you acknowledge Him, He’ll direct you down the right path for your life.
Jesus, Savior, pilot me, over life’s tempestuous sea.

Suggested Scriptural references ... First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all those who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.  1Timothy 2:1
The king’s heart is like a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He will.  Proverbs 21:1
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God.  Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the one to whom we are accountable.  Hebrews 4:13
We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.  People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives.  Proverbs 16:1-2

Suggested prayers ... We ask, Lord, for leaders who know You, honor You and understand that they are accountable to You for the authority they have been given.  Please penetrate their decision making processes with Your wisdom and guidance.  Please give them ears to hear You ~ and the discernment, courage, integrity and strength to carry out Your direction.
We ask You to speak to those who do not know You, Lord.  Change their hearts to honor You as their highest Authority.
We pray for Your Holy Spirit to inhabit the thoughts and purify the motives of our leaders, drawing them to a full understanding and allegiance to You and Your will and ways.
We are hungry for religious leaders who truly know You, Lord.  We ask You to give the shepherds of this land Your Spirit, Your inspiration, Your protection and the bold courage to proclaim Your truth under the sure anointing of the grace of Christ.
We pray for wisdom, strength and integrity for the President, his cabinet, his administration and his family.
We ask You to instill in our leaders an awareness of the Godly heritage of this country and their responsibility before You to honor and preserve it.
We ask for leaders in all walks of life who sincerely hunger for truth and strive for sacred honor in all they think, say and do.  We ask You to guide and guard their intentions, desires and plans.
We ask You to move in the hearts of many who know that service to You can be anywhere – even under a Capitol dome.
We ask You to raise up Godly leaders who desire principle over politics.  We ask for servant-leaders who desire to be statesmen over politicians.
We ask for You to prosper and give favor to those who are truly devoted to You, that they may grow in effectiveness, stature and influence with their peers.
We ask for Your transforming power in the lives of those who would deceive, divide and destroy.
Sovereign God of all creation, in the great scheme of things we Americans are a small 5-6% of all the people in Your world.  And yet You have so richly rewarded America with Your blessings - an America that started out firmly planted on Your foundation.  We pray now, Father, for this prodigal country to rise from the ashes of having left You behind.  We ask for a Godly nation once again, led by incorruptible men and women who know You, love You and have a deep understanding and respect for Your will and ways.  We ask You to transform the hearts of those who serve as leaders, but don't know or honor You as Sovereign.  Please make Yourself known to them, beloved Father.  Show us how we can respectfully and effectively represent You if and when we are called to interact with them.

“Those who manage the affairs of government are by this means reminded that the law of God demands that they should be courageously true to the interests of the people, and that the Ruler of the Universe will require of them a strict account of their stewardship.”

Pray

Pray

We are admonished to pray for our nation and its leaders.  It is also prudent that we pray for other nations of the world.  We know the entirety of the world's countries will fall under the influence of the antichrist in the end time but through our prayers, we may perhaps stay the moment when things come to their ultimate, godless condition.

Three nations, among the many corrupt, godless nations of the world that are needing deliverance from great wickedness which threatens our world and all its people are discussed here:

Dear Praying Friends,

Please be in prayer at this crucial time for these three countries that need God's deliverance from the entrenched evil in their governments and the false ideologies that dominate and oppress their people.

1. Iran

This is clearly a kairos time to pray for this nation and the removal of its regime of terroristic mullahs and the overthrow of its false religion that has brought its people no hope and no prosperity. It is also one of the main international security threats to our world today.

BBC News today reports that "After nearly a week of rare protests in Iran, it is clear momentum is building. Despite restrictions placed on social media, demonstrators are still taking to the streets and tensions remain high. The protests are the largest since the 2009 uprising over the disputed presidential election. That time the security forces cracked down hard, and they have threatened to do so again."

The demonstrations are seen as a revolt against decades of governmental and economic mismanagement, including inflation, unemployment and corruption under the Islamists, and they have happened in about 25 cities and towns so far. Let's pray that these mass demonstrations will be successful in breaking the hold of the mullahs over the government and that the military will side with the people and not harm them. Pray also that the significant movement to Christ by over one million Iranians in house churches will spread greatly during this time and that its leaders will have His strategy and protection to move forward in a time filled with both danger and great opportunity for the Kingdom. May Iran enter a new and transformed era through the mercy of the Lord!

2. North Korea (and its relationship with China)

Kim Jong Un says that he can now send nuke-tipped missiles into any part of the USA from a button on his desk. Today, it was claimed by one news source that "China's Communist Party adopted a secret plan in September to bolster the North Korean government with increased aid and military support, including new missiles, if Pyongyang halts further nuclear tests, according to an internal party document. The document, labeled "top secret" and dated Sept. 15-12 days after North Korea's latest underground nuclear blast-outlines China's plan for dealing with the North Korean nuclear issue. It states China will allow North Korea to keep its current arsenal of nuclear weapons, contrary to Beijing's public stance that it seeks a denuclearized Korean peninsula.

"Chinese leaders also agreed to offer new assurances that the North Korean government will not be allowed to collapse, and that Beijing plans to apply sanctions "symbolically" to avoid punishing the regime of leader Kim Jong Un under a recent U.N. resolution requiring a halt to oil and gas shipments into North Korea. Disclosure of the document comes amid reports China is continuing to send oil to North Korea in violation of United Nations sanctions, prompting criticism from President Trump. Trump tweeted last week that China was caught "red handed" allowing oil shipments to North Korea. "There will never be a friendly solution to the North Korean problem if this continues to happen," the president stated on Dec. 28."

Let's pray that the Chinese government will give up this two-faced, underhanded dealing and will stand with the rest of the world in enforcing the sanctions against the evil North Korean regime. China continues to be the most important player if there is to be a peaceful resolution of this very dangerous crisis. Pray that the sanctions will have their full effect and that Kim and his rogue government will be forced to give up their nuclear arsenal that could eventually threaten any nation on earth. Pray that a coup from within could remove Kim and his dictatorial regime from power, making an outside military intervention unnecessary.

3. Pakistan prayer initiative

A prayer ministry team is in this country right now, using His authority to dismantle places given over to demonic influences so the people and government can go free from the horrible spiritual oppression and darkness of this land. The leader writes that they have been to a few "strongholds" and have felt great freedom in the Spirit to pray authoritatively for the deliverance of these people.

They are currently on their way to another such area of the country. He asks us to continue praying that "the enemy's hold on the nation will be broken". Pray for their safety and protection in this hostile atmosphere.

Pray for His strong anointing and discernment to be upon them and great faith to pull down the ancient forces of spiritual darkness that dominate this land through false religion and the occult gurus called "pirs". May His Church there arise and do exploits for Him and His Kingdom in this very needy nation!
Thanks for your strong and valuable prayer support for the liberation of these nations that so grievously harm their own people and cause so much trouble and destruction for the rest of our world.

Power Grid

America's Power Grid Is Showing Signs of Strain During Brutal Cold - Bloomberg

America's power grid is starting to show signs of fatigue as the nation grapples with a record-breaking cold snap. In the Midwest, some natural gas plants are having trouble getting supplies, forcing outages and increased use of fuel oil, Dustin Smith, a spokesman for the Southwest Power Pool, said on Tuesday.

Some power plants in New England that have been burning oil are running short on fuel, according to Marcia Blomberg, a spokeswoman for ISO New England Inc., the region's grid operator. Restrictions governing air emissions are also a factor limiting their use.

"As oil inventories are depleted, replenishment of these fuels will be important given the uncertainty around weather and future fuel demands for the remaining two months of the winter period," she said by email on Tuesday.

Oil, a scant contributor to the nation's power supply in normal weather conditions, has accounted for about 30 percent of New England's electricity in recent days after temperatures plunged below freezing. A lack of pipeline capacity has constrained gas supplies to the region in recent years, causing prices to surge during severe cold snaps.

- Father God, as this "winter hurricane" reaches our coastal areas and moves inland, in combination with the frigid air now blasting us from the Arctic, we ask that our power grid would hold. Thank You, Lord, amen.

- Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. (Jeremiah 32:17)

Elaine's Passing

Elaine's Passing
Another classmate has, as Shakespeare stated, "shuffled off this mortal coil."
Another believer, like the Apostle Paul, has said, "I have run my race; I have finished my course...now there is laid up for me a crown of glory that will not fade away."
Fifty-five years, five and a half decades ago, she was a young high school graduate.  She was full of life and promise.  In what appears in reflection to be "a twinkling of an eye," time has slipped away silently, steadily, almost imperceptibly.
Fifty-five years is a large segment of time in a human life (there are careers, marriages, children, grandchildren--she had 18 grandchildren!) but quite a scant segment of eternity.
As each of us draws closer and ever closer to our concluding moment of time on earth, we must become more and more thankful for the LORD JESUS CHRIST who has opened for us the portal of Heaven, who has made our sojourn here a stepping stone to ETERNITY with HIM.
May JESUS open our spiritual eyes to behold the glories that await us, so at times like these we "sorrow not as those who have no hope."
