Proof That JESUS Was Real

Some argue that Jesus wasn't an actual man, but within a few decades of…

Never Runs Dry

Thank YOU, our LORD and our GOD, that YOUR cup of mercy never runs dry. Thank YOU, SOVEREIGN KING, that nothing we do or say or think or are can cause YOUR mercy toward us to lessen. YOUR supply is bountiful and it is endless.
Man sometimes looks at himself and sees only his sin. While man may profess faith and aspire to righteousness, he is too immersed in the temptations he cannot resist to attain the holiness he yearns to possess.
But YOU, gracious KING, have paid the price for man's holiness. YOU, JESUS, have washed man's sins away and they are in YOUR wondrous Sea of Forgetfulness.
If man awakens this morning with sin on his mind, YOU give him the strength to flee that temptation.
If man stumbles into a recurring sin, succumbing to lustfulness that he cannot overcome, YOU forgive him not only seven times but "seventy times seven" times. YOUR willingness to forgive exceeds his propensity to sin.
If man hovers between faith and doubt, YOU will send YOUR HOLY SPIRIT to secure him to belief.
YOU are ever faithful and true. YOU are indeed at the point of man's need with YOUR mercy abounding -- every morning, every noonday, every evening, every night -- YOU are always there for every man who aches for forgiveness.

Living Based on Absolutes

Living Based on Absolutes
From: Today God Is First by Os Hillman
March 01, 2019
"Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, 'King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty?s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up'" (Daniel 3:16-18).
Shadrach, Mesach, and Abednego's faith was tested. Would they worship another God defined by their boss, the king of Babylon? If not, they would be thrown into a fiery pit.
There was no decision to be made. It had already been made in their mind and heart. There would be no skirting the issue. They would not reframe the issue with political babble to save their necks. No, they took the issue head on. "There is only one God, oh king. It is the God we serve!"
Oh, what bold faith. They knew God could save them, but even if He didn't, so be it. This was their stand.
There is a time to stand for absolute truth.
"Jesus IS the only way to the Father." We live in a culture that is defined by situational ethics and a belief that there are many ways to God. "
As long as I am not hurting anyone why would God care if I live with my girlfriend?"
"Surely you don't believe homosexuality is sin!"
"Are you one of those rigid fundamentalists?"
The issues of our day cry out for a life that lives from a basis of absolute truth.
If I get fired for that belief, so be it.
If I am branded a bigot, so be it.
If I am viewed as rigid and narrow by others, so be it.
If I die for my faith, so be it.
I live to please an audience of only One.

Thoughts on Today's Verse

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. — Psalm 103:12
Thoughts on Today's Verse by Phil Ware
Now that's a long way - from sun rising to sun setting, that's how far God has removed our sins. But the key word is removed. When we sin and come to God in repentance, God doesn't just forgive our sin; he purifies us of all unrighteousness. What was unholy in me is made righteous by him. What was impure is now clean. What was stained is spotless.
Why?
How?
We can now see more fully what the Psalmist could know only in part. God doesn't see our sin, but Jesus' sacrifice. His blood purifies and cleanses us! Our sin is gone and we are clean.
My Prayer...
Father of mercies, thank you for not only forgiving my sins, but for removing them. I thank you that I can stand before you holy and without fault because of the blood of Jesus and your amazing power to forgive.
I now ask, Righteous Father, that you strengthen me with your Holy Spirit so that my conduct will reflect your estimate of me in Jesus. In the name of the Christ, your Son and my Savior, I pray. Amen.

Truth to Cling to

Truth to Cling to by Lysa TerKeurst
Right this very minute, in the midst of hard realities and devastating circumstances, there are some things you and I must cling and hold to as if our lives depended on it:
1. God loves us and He will not leave us.
2. This battle isn’t ours. The battle belongs to the Lord. Let Him fight for you. Save your emotional energy and use it to dig into His Word like never before. Our job is to be obedient to God. God’s job is winning this battle.
3. The battle might not be easy or short-lived, but victory will be there for those who trust God.
Sweet friend, I know this is hard. It’s hard when we don’t have all the answers for our situations. But we can stand in the midst of our hard days and declare we trust the One who holds every answer. We can choose to be still and know He is God.
