First love: God asks for our hearts. We can give no more. He can accept no less. He has loved us even unto the pit of Hell. How can we not love Him back? Ah, my friends, all of those good works, all of those labors, all of those industries exercised for Christ mean nothing if that first love is not there. Without love they are only “sounding brass or a clanging cymbal” (1 Corinthians 13:1 NKJV).

Is there any husband anywhere in the world, who would be satisfied if he discovers that his wife’s heart is now far from him, that she no longer loves him? Does it make any difference how diligent she is in the affairs of the home, in the tasks of keeping house? All of these things are worse than ashes if her heart is far from him.

God speaks of those who draw nigh unto Him with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him. God made us to love Him, for He loves us, and we must love Him too.

We love Him because He first loved us. As the hymn reminds us, “Lord, let me never, never outlive my love for Thee.”

Nurses Gunned Down

 

 2 Maternity Ward Nurses Gunned Down Inside Hospital

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Two maternity ward nurses were shot and killed inside the hospital where they worked by a man on parole who was then shot and captured by a police officer.

The horrific crime took place inside Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Texas.

As Fox 4 KDFW reports in its most up-to-date dispatch:

“Two hospital employees were killed in a shooting at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

“Dallas police say the shooting happened inside the hospital on the 1400 block of North Beckley Avenue.

“The hospital says according to its preliminary investigation, the suspect shot and killed the employees and was then confronted by a Methodist Health System police officer.

The officer shot the suspect, 30-year-old Nestor Hernandez, injuring him. He was then detained, stabilized and transported to another hospital for treatment.” [emphasis added]

The suspect had been released and was free on parole.

“Dallas Police say Hernandez is currently on parole for aggravated robbery and had an active ankle monitor at the time of the shooting.

“Dallas police chief Eddie Garcia called the shooting ‘an abhorrent failure of our criminal justice system.’“

The world and its desires are passing away, but the one who does the will of God lives forever.      1 John 2:15-17

The average worldling, like a mole in its dark hole, walks in the darkness of this world without the slightest inkling of God’s love and mercy or of the gracious and free atonement and salvation that God offers to those who acknowledge that they are sinners.

We have seen many times that the world in its “wisdom” has flown right into the face of God’s wisdom. For decades they follow the attractions of the world, only to find that they have created yet another disaster.

There was a great preacher by the name of Bud Robinson who proclaimed the Gospel in various parts of the world. Then he visited New York City for the first time, and his friends took him on the grand tour of the city. He saw New York in all of its glory. That night he knelt to pray, and this is what he said: “Lord, I thank you that once in my life I had the opportunity of seeing the great city of New York. And Lord, I thank you even more that I didn’t see one thing that I wanted.

If I understand correctly, my letter is on file and another one is not necessary because it would essentially be redundant.  I want to be helpful so please clarify what I don't understand.

Do you have any plans to further your academic work?  You are a very capable writer and attaining a masters or a doctorate are well within the realm of possibility for you.  It would certainly delight your old teacher to learn you are pursuing the next level of achievement.

You have football fans pegged quite accurately.  Although your father is cheering for the opposite side of the state, his level of "fandom" is well recognized!  I

 read an article where Franco Harris's son had run for mayor of Pittsburgh and lost.  I can't believe that.  There is a statue of his father's Immaculate Reception in the Pittsburgh Airport -- that's how much those folks think about one of their greatest players.  The Steelers were often referred to as "Franco's Italian/American Army."  His father was a U.S. soldier in Italy and his mother was an Italian lady.  Unlike Terry Bradshaw, who hates Pittsburgh, Franco is still living there.

Christ said to the church in Ephesus that He knows their works. Interestingly, many of us are willing to do works. If, that is, they are not too strenuous and it won’t be too inconvenient—if it is not too early, or too late, or too far, or too heavy, or too much, or too often. So, if all those conditions are met, well then you can count on me …  once in a while.

But I thank God there are some whose labors God knows. I even know some who are faithful and diligent, and it doesn’t matter how hard or how often or how long or how far. I thank God for that. Christ knows your labors. If your work is done for Him, you may be certain that He will reward you.

When we do works out of love for Christ, it makes all the difference in the world. How powerful is the “first love” that we have for the Lord. There is nothing that “first love” cannot do. There may be streams or rivers to cross, and first love says, “I can swim.” There may be mountains to climb, and first love says, “I can fly.” It doesn’t matter what the task, “More love for Thee, O Christ” should be our continuous prayer.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted unanimously on October 20 to recommend the Centers for Disease Control add COVID 19 vaccines to the 2023 schedule of child and adolescent immunization schedules. The Moderna, Pfizer, and Novavax serums were accepted by the ACIP despite the “vaccines” being experimental, exponentially waning effectiveness, and the very fact that they do not prevent the infection of COVID 19 nor the spread of it. Additionally, children and adolescents were least affected by COVID during the pandemic. Yet, academics on the ACIP believe the serums will prevent “serious disease and death,” which is the big pharma narrative. 

Moderna has launched a full-scale advertising campaign for its COVID vaccine. In August-September, Moderna sponsored the US Open. According to Medical Marketing and Media, “Moderna is sponsoring the U.S. Open tennis tournament to show fans its work doesn’t stop at vaccinating people against COVID-19.” September 9 was Moderna night, when the company displayed digital advertisements through the stadium in Queens, NY during the men’s second semifinals match. Moderna encouraged spectators to visit Moderna’s website to learn more about mRNA science. Those watching on ESPN from home saw an ad featuring tennis legend Billie Jean King as she promotes mRNA and Moderna. Commercials can be seen during major prime time network programming as Moderna is sponsoring Jeopardy. 

At the end of the Moderna commercial is a disclaimer that is shown for about three-tenths of a second, saying, “The vaccine may not be for everyone Please consult with your doctor to determine eligibility.” That’s an understatement. Vaccine injury causing myocarditis or pericarditis among youth increased from about 1 in 23,000 for 12-15 year-old males in August 2021 to about 1 in 6,600 as of September 1, 2022. Another study by Yale researchers published in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation concludes that Cardiac Adverse Event rates for 12-17 year-old males exceeds their expected 120-day COVID-19 hospitalization rates for both moderate and high incidence. Another study published in the American Heart Association’s “Circulation” indicated researchers confirmed the link between myocarditis deaths and COVID vaccines.

Actuaries of OneAmerica, a 145-year-old Indiana life insurance company, documented a 2021 death rate increase of 40% from pre-pandemic levels, with an alarming majority of deaths in primarily working-age people 18-64. Collaborating studies indicate excess deaths at 16% or higher among vaccinated people. It is inconceivable that academics, doctors, the CDC or FDA would recommend mandating these vaccines to youngsters. Consider pulling your kids out of public school. The risk of vaccine injury or death continues to increase as data pours in. Christ said in Matthew 9:12, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” If you or your children are experiencing health issues post-vaccination, do not hesitate to seek assistance from doctors who can prescribe treatments to mitigate the effects of the vaccine (www.truthforhealth.org ).
