Walk in His Favor

As you return to the work-a-day world today--office, factory, department store, school-- may you go with the confidence that comes from knowing you do not walk alone.

The One who has abode with you through the holiday season, the One whose birth you celebrated at Christmas and before whom you resolved to be a more faithful follower at the New Year, is with you now as you endeavor to implement all that is in your heart to do and to be.

He is mindful of the fact that you cannot be fully like Him until you "see Him as He is," I John 3:2, but He also knows the willingness of your heart to be in tune with His, so He measures your effort with His gentle and understanding heart rather than with an inflexible interpretation of your adherence to the immutable law HE fulfilled in your behalf.

Soldier on! Step boldly into your new day and into your new year! Be ready to fail without discouragement and be ready to reap the fruit of success with grace. Be mindful of Whose you are and how precious you are to Him.

Walk in His favor, for He delights in you.
