Do you have significant difficulties in dealing with an important person in your life? Here are some thoughts to uplift you as you face the negative feelings those difficulties inspire within you.
"REJOICE NOT OVER ME, O, MINE ENEMY, FOR WHEN I FALL, I SHALL ARISE; WHEN I SIT IN DARKNESS, THE LORD WILL BE A LIGHT TO ME." MICAH 7:8
It is not easy to open the deep, dark places within us to others -- or even to ourselves -- but in doing so, a strength can be found, a release can be effected. Don't allow the difficult things to remain bottled up within you, let yourself have a confidante who will encourage you at the point of your need. JESUS is always available to be that confidante, so pour your heart out primarily to HIM.
It is important that you are ever mindful of the truth of who your real enemy is. No matter who appears to be the instrument of your disappointment, failure, frustration, inadequacy … the ultimate source of every negative thing in your life is the one who "comes to steal, kill, and destroy." When you pray against the negative circumstances in your life, direct your prayers against him.
Pray prayers that lift up those around you so the power of your supplications that rise to HEAVEN can strengthen them in the good things the LORD has for them, that can set them free from the ploys and deceptions of the enemy that have ensnared them.
By keeping your prayer life focused on the power of JESUS within you rather than the stranglehold the enemy has attempted to place upon you through the negative behaviors and words and
attitudes of people in your lives, you will be thwarting old slewfoot at the base of his power, which is deception.
attitudes of people in your lives, you will be thwarting old slewfoot at the base of his power, which is deception.
Hold fast to JESUS and HIS truth. Remember HIS WORD that says, "Whatever is true, whatever is good, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, think on these things."
Keep your focus on JESUS and HIS TRUE, GOOD, LOVELY, GOOD REPORT and there will be no room in your mind to be the enemy's playground.
And always be mindful of what the LORD has promised to
you to fortify you in the inner-most part of your being:
you to fortify you in the inner-most part of your being:
HE has given you HIS JOY, which is your strength
HIS PEACE that passes understanding
HIS FAITH that moves mountains
HIS LOVE that never fails
HIS PEACE that passes understanding
HIS FAITH that moves mountains
HIS LOVE that never fails
With these glorious gifts, you will be able to mightily exercise "that same power that raised JESUS from the dead and lives in you."
I'll close with this lovely thought from Max Lucado:
"A person's heart should be so hidden in God that a woman / man has to seek Him just to find her / him."
I love you and you are in my prayers.
