The world we live in is fallen.
The evidence of the corruption and evil around us becomes ever more profound. We anguish at the depth of depravity to which our government, our educators, our media, even some of our churches have fallen. We long for righteousness to be exalted in the land once again. We long for righteousness to be exalted in our hearts.
Yet, one thing we know, for the immutable WORD of our TRUE and LIVING GOD assures us, "When the enemy comes in like a flood, the LORD will raise up a standard against him."
It further tells us that, "Things shall wax worse and worse, and then
the end shall come," that, "When you see these things come to pass,
look up and lift up your head, for your redemption draws near."
JESUS has promised to return, and our hope is in HIM.
Politicians may disappoint us with their perverted promises of "hope and change."
Politicians may dismay us with their machinations which advance their own power but diminish the nation and its citizens.
We may disappoint and dismay ourselves because of the disquiet within us due to our helpless estate.
But JESUS will never fail.
As the angel said when JESUS ascended into heaven, "Why do you stand gazing into the sky? This same JESUS who has gone into heaven will return in like manner as you have seen HIM go." Acts 1:11.
Not one word of the BIBLE or its prophecies have failed. The promise of JESUS' return is sure.
No matter how fallen the world becomes, no matter how failed its leaders, JESUS remains our abiding HOPE, our unfailing TRUTH, our perfect PEACE, our enduring LOVE, our eternal SALVATION.
HIS people are covered by HIS CLEANSING BLOOD that makes us FREE!
