Our Banner, Our Light

1. We live in a culture that has largely forgotten its roots, that has abandoned its heritage.
2. 
   We are a people whose history conveys a tale of godly men and women who risked everything in order to gain one thing -- freedom.
3. 
   Our ancestors faced the might of the ocean and the foreboding of an uncharted wilderness in order to establish upon these shores a nation, as described by Abraham Lincoln as, "conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal."
4. 
   

   Today's history books have purposefully excluded the truth of that incomparable heritage. Today's history books endeavor to equate the unique establishment of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA and the CHRIST upon WHOM that establishment is built, with every other culture, with every other religion in the world.
5. 
   AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM, and the CHRISTIAN FAITH from which it springs have been virtually eradicated from the chronicles of our national story.
6. 
   Arise, people of faith! Be about the task of restoring truth to our history books as well as to the task of restoring righteousness to our national character, for we cannot expect our children and our grandchildren to be willing to defend a heritage they do not know.
7. 
   Nor can we expect them to cherish a freedom they do not understand.
8. 
   May our purpose on earth, as long as GOD gives us breath, be to hold high the banner of liberty over this free land, and to make everyone know that the liberty we cherish springs from the UNSPEAKABLE GIFT OF JESUS CHRIST.

   May the proclamation of II Chronicles 7:14 come to fruition in our generation, even according to the promise:

    IF MY PEOPLE, WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN AND FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND HEAL THEIR LAND.
