Theme Song of a Generation
The 60s saw an amazing departure from old traditions, old rules, old morals. It was a time when nothing that had endured through centuries seemed relevant anymore.
A generation was determined to discard the weight of tradition and in doing so, it threw out the baby with the bath water. Much was cast aside that should have been kept as part of a treasured inheritance but wisdom was lacking and foolish decisions were made.
Many who lived through those years see the on-going impact of their folly today.
Peter Fonda was the face of his generation; he has died but the devastation caused by those who embraced the culture he represented scattered seeds of rebellion that are still choking out the old vines of integrity and honor.
