Biden ignores questions and retreats to Camp David after Afghanistan address - Washington Examiner
Joe Biden turned his back and walked away as reporters shouted questions after he delivered a speech to the nation Monday on the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.
After his roughly 18-minute speech, during which he defended his decision to end the 20-year war-fighting mission in Afghanistan, his office released a public schedule update showing Biden would fly out from the White House and return to Camp David.
Biden spent the weekend at the Maryland retreat and has been kept apprised of the situation in Afghanistan, where the Taliban took over the capital city of Kabul on Sunday and the United States sent back thousands of troops to assist with frantic evacuations of U.S. citizens and Afghan allies from the airport in the capital.
PRAYER:
- Father, this man sitting in the office of President of the United States of America is in need of Your deep and great intervention. We are crying out for a return to strength and leadership and know that this administration is unable and unwilling to do so. Seeing him cloister himself at Camp David in such a serious time is not how the President of the United States should carry himself. No one should have to assure us that he is being "kept apprised of the situation in Afghanistan", we should see it with our own eyes. Please change or remove this administration, Father.
- "'Whether it is pleasing or displeasing, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God to whom we send you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.'" (Jeremiah 42:6)
