Pray for Our Land

 As the new year begins, people of faith as well as people of no faith recognize the dire condition that our nation is in.  Our founding fathers, who were largely people of profound CHRISTIAN faith, laid this nation at the feet of JESUS at its inception.

This nation has been a blessed land.  GOD has increased our wealth and power and allowed us to become what is universally considered to be the greatest nation that has ever existed.

We have used the blessing GOD has lavished upon us to save the world from tyranny in two world wars and, even more importantly, to sow seeds of the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST into   even the darkest corners of the earth.

In recent decades, however, we have taken our position for granted.  We have become comfortable and we have become foolishly enmeshed in the notion that we cannot be undone.  By taking for granted our wealth and power, we have become a debtor nation whose strength is undermined in many ways -- essentially by our own doing.

At the onset of 2023, it behooves all of us -- especially people of faith -- to pray for our nation.  We must pray for another "GREAT AWAKENING," for another revival of faith in the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  We must pray for honorable leaders to be chosen over the traitorous leadership we currently have.  We must pray for godly people to stand as examples to all our citizens of the faithfulness and wonder and glory of the GOD who has lavished HIS blessings upon us.

Toward that end, may we all resolve to daily pray the prayer of II CHRONICLES 7:14:

"If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land."  II Chronicles 7:14
