Unusual Flight

A WOMAN was flying from Melbourne to Brisbane ... Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sydney. The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes.. Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind. A man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her Seeing Eye Dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight. He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said, 'Kathy, we are in Sydney for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?' The blind lady replied, 'No thanks, but maybe Max would Like to stretch his legs.' Picture this: All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a Seeing Eye dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses. People scattered. They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines! True story... Have a great day and remember... ...THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.

Psalm Twenty-eight (28)

Psalm Twenty-eight (28) A Psalm of David.) Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. 2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. 3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts. 4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert. 5 Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up. 6 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. 7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. 8 The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. 9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

Store Up Your Treasure

Store up Your Treasur “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.” Matthew 6:19–20 “On November 25, 1895, in Leadville, Colorado, a cornerstone of ice was laid that would be the foundation of what would become the largest ice palace ever built in America. The town’s economy had been struggling, so the citizens staged a winter carnival with the palace as the centerpiece. When it was complete, the palace measured 450 x 320 feet. The towers were 90 feet high and it held a 16,000-square-foot skating rink inside. The townspeople were ecstatic, celebrating their newfound hope as a surge of paying visitors came to Leadville. But as happened every year, spring came, which melted away the palace and sent the visitors home. The people of Leadville knew the end was coming to their money-making carnival. Yet, they still hoped that this temporary tourist trap would cure their financial ills for good. But it never did. Unfortunately, countless people do this exact same thing each and every day. They put their hope in temporary things for happiness or security, and then are disappointed time and time again when “spring comes” and the things in which they had so much hope melt away. Every material thing in this world is temporary and will eventually be destroyed. But God endures forever. Put your faith in Him for your joy and your security because He’ll be there for you, for eternity! Prayer Challenge Pray and ask God to help you find your joy in Him, rather than the temporary things of the world.” (From - Daily Living Devotional)

Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind

Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind by Dr. D. James Kennedy “He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, but the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” John 1:10-12 You’ve probably never had an encounter with a UFO (unidentified flying object), but thousands of people claim to have had such strange experiences. The reports of UFOs have been divided into three types: close encounters of the first kind—the sighting of UFOs, close encounters of the second kind—physical evidence for the presence of UFOs, and close encounters of the third kind—being kidnapped for short periods of time by beings who operate UFOs. You may doubt people who have claimed to have experienced such encounters, but there is another encounter about which you could have no question. I’m talking about a close encounter of the fourth kind. It, like the others, began with a brilliant light in the sky that people followed until it finally stood still. The light drew attention to a Visitor from outer space who came to a small village on the other side of the planet two thousand years ago. This Being had a wisdom far beyond anything that we know. He had a power greater than any creature. But He was no alien. He came unto His own, and thousands of His own saw Him. In fact, many of them claimed that He rose from the dead. Over five hundred people saw Him alive after His public crucifixion. The people who claimed to have this final earthly encounter did something which gives a credibility to their testimony not found in the testimony of modern close encounters. God, in His wisdom, allowed a persecution to arise, and the people who encountered this Being suffered hardships, torture, and even death specifically for claiming they had seen Him after His resurrection. The mysterious thing about the close encounter of the fourth kind is that although it was an historical event, we can still experience it. Have you met with Jesus Christ today? Daily communion with the Lord of the universe is our close encounter of the fourth kind, the most precious part of any human life.

Where in the World?

Where in the world? By Bill Wilson Where in the world would a nation and a people be constantly persecuted and pursued to extinction in such brutal fashion as to have babies ripped from the womb of dying mothers, children mutilated and killed as the last sight of their dying parents, beheaded, burned alive, raped, dismembered alive before blood thirsty, laughing enemies? Yes, where in the world? And where in the world would nations view this evil brutality and think it justified? Where in the world would such behavior be celebrated and memorialized? Where in the world would such barbarians be financially supported and rewarded by international bodies in the name of humanitarianism? Where in the world? How is it that leaders of racial equality rally their constituents to march in favor of such brutality? How is it that those who dress up like clowns, wanting to be identified with sexual depravity, to be allowed the right to sexually molest, confuse and groom innocent children into their behavior gather together to protest with the very people who have openly said they have no right to practice their sexual immorality? How is it that those who post signs in their yards that say “Hate doesn’t live here" support such hate against a nation and a people? How is it that those deploring fascism and racism align with those who not only practice fascism and racism, but do so with such unrepentant vigor and enthusiasm? What kind of international organization dedicated to peace condemns not only a nation, but a people for exercising their right to self-defense? What kind of country calls for the extermination of a nation and a people? What kind of political party would tolerate members who speak in favor of those who demand genocide of an entire nation—all of its men, women and children? What kind of nation espouses equality and liberty for all funds these nations and factions that state as their mission to eliminate a nation and a people from the very face of the earth? What kind of leaders speak self-determination for these barbarians knowing full well their intentions to destroy a people and a nation? It is from nothing less than those who have ignorance and evil in their hearts. Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” Christ said in Mark 7:21-22, “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.” Isaiah 59:7-8 says, “Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction are in their paths.” Is this not what we are witnessing today in the protests, proclamations, actions, and intentions of many nations in the world against Israel and the Jewish people? It includes leaders in our own nation of liberty and justice for all. There is neither repentance nor reprieve. Yes, where in the world? It’s here.

The Fellowship of the Saints

The Fellowship of the Saints by Dr. D. James Kennedy “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:42 “It is not good that man should be alone.” God knows this; He said it. God also knows that few things surpass being in a group of people with whom one really belongs. He knows we need that kind of relationship, and so He created it. On Pentecost Sunday two thousand years ago, He created a new kind of fellowship that had never existed in the world before. Scripture calls it “Koinonia,” the “family of God” or the “forever family.” The family of God includes all those who have invited Christ to make them new creatures and have experienced the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit. Everyone in the family bears the same name, Christian, and has the same Father in Heaven. This makes us all brothers and sisters in Christ. What a comforting reality to belong to such a group. As members of God’s family, the Holy Spirit has bonded us together in many ways. Let’s think of some. We are equal heirs, and our inheritance is infinite and inexhaustible. We are believers; our hearts and minds share the same spiritual perception of the world. We are disciples; we all sit at the feet of one Master and learn our worldview from Him. We are witnesses; we share the special joy of leading people to Christ. We are soldiers; we share trials and triumphs and strengthen each other in faith. We are also a fellowship of slaves. Have you ever thought of that? During Roman times, a bond slave’s life and death were in his or her master’s hands. Paul delighted to call himself a bond slave of Christ, and we should view ourselves in the same light. Do you realize how blessed you are to belong to such a wonderful family? Do you want God’s family to grow closer, stronger, and more loving? Today ask God to show you how to play your part in the family.
