What
'giant' are you facing in your life? What obstacle looms large before
you? What doubts and anxieties haunt you regarding your ability to
successfully overcome the formidable circumstances that have positioned
themselves between you and your goals?
Whatever they are, they are nothing compared to the empowerment you have from the Christ who loves you and has promised that you can do all things with His help. (See Philippians 4:13.)
David was not intimidated by the giant who had taunted Saul's army of fighting men. The trained soldiers were schooled in the techniques of battle, but the confidence their training gave them was in themselves. In themselves, they were unable to confront Goliath because his training was as good as theirs...but it was coupled with his superior strength.

David was not a soldier. David was a shepherd boy. He knew nothing
about how to wield a sword or how to avail himself of the protection of a
shield or how to maneuver himself to afford himself protection in a
fight to the death. But, David knew God.
David walked into the field of battle against a mighty foe, knowing that "HE WHO IS WITHIN YOU IS GREATER THAN HE WHO IS IN THE WORLD." I John 4:4
May you face your giants with that same confidence.
