In
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, there is a custom that dates back at least
as far as Abdulaziz ibin Saud, the first king of the modern realm.
That custom involves the opening of the way to the king to any citizen
who may then beseech the monarch for any need, any desire--and the king
will fulfill it.
A poor man who requests money to start a business will receive it. A desert dweller who wishes a home in the city may ask for it. The largess of the king seems to know no bounds.

But there is ONE whose grace and mercy and goodness and generosity far
exceeds that of any earthly king, and that ONE sits on the Throne of
Heaven.
The NAME of that ONE is the NAME that is above all names; the NAME that overcomes fear, implements power, achieves salvation, denotes love; the NAME that belongs to the Giver of all good gifts, the NAME that never fails is JESUS.
When a believer in Christ comes before the Throne Room of Heaven, the doors are opened wide and the angels usher him to the Mercy Seat where the promise is that he shall "find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16
It is there, before the MAJESTY ON HIGH that the believer may present his supplication. It matters not how poor he may be; it matters not how darkened his past may be with sin--all that matters is that he has been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb I Peter 1:19--and he shall receive what he asks from the Father in the precious NAME of the SON.
If a man is empty-handed, there is only one reason: "You have not because you ask not..." James 4:2,3
Shall we not then ask?
