Where Are We?

Deception is subtle in a nation that is purported to be free.

Jack-booted thugs won't kick down your door in the middle of the night and drag you off to prison where you will be tortured until you 'confess' to crimes against the state. You won't be forced to wear a yellow Star of David or a cross on your clothing to indicate that you are a member of a detested religious group.

No, there will simply be a gradual erosion of truth. There will be a systematic replacement of GOD'S unchanging truth with man's ever-changing edicts based upon his evolving sense of what is right and what is wrong.

Instead of counting righteousness as forever established in CHRIST, it will become what a man desires it to be as it relates to his own wants and desires.

You will live in an age where society is no longer based upon Biblical precepts but one where, "Every man does what is right in his own eyes." Judges 17:6 The ultimate perversion of truth will come when a corrupt government takes it upon itself to legislate immorality upon the people.

And the people, looking with growing anticipation to governmental largess to supply their every need and desire, will have become somnolent. They will be indifferent to the freedom that is being gradually and systematically removed from them. They will be complicit in their own enslavement to a system that denies truth and exalts sin.

Where are we as a culture?
