English is a very confusing language. It challenges even English teachers who supposedly know it well enough to convey its intricacies to others.
No matter what language one uses to read the BIBLE, GOD'S immutable word, whether English or the original languages of Hebrew and Greek or Latin, one can become confused if he endeavors to discern its spiritual truth solely from an intellectual perspective.
The WORD of GOD itself explains this phenomenon by telling mankind that "GOD is a SPIRIT and they who worship HIM must worship in spirit and in truth."
His truth cannot be discerned when it is studied from other than the vantage point of its spiritual intent.
GOD is not endeavoring to confuse man, nor is HE intending to make HIS WORD in-discernible to those who would glean its wisdom. Rather, HE would have those who seek HIS revelation to do so from its only sure vantage point--the vantage point of the SPIRIT, which is who HE IS!
If HIS TRUTH is approached from a mere human perspective, small, virtually indiscernible errors will shroud man's understanding. The one who seeks GOD only with his mind will not perceive HIS HEART, which is where HIS intent lies.
Seek the marbleous truth of GOD "with all your heart" as HIS WORD admonishes. Don't take it for granite that you can discover it in any other way.
