It's been said before but is worth repeating...
The Christian life of surrender to and following of the will of GOD is quite difficult for the average American who has been reared with the concept of doing it all himself.
From earliest childhood, they are taught to "pick up your own toys, clean your own room, fold your own clothes, finish your own homework..."
The concept of following someone else's lead, of allowing someone else
to assist with the task is foreign to the earliest indoctrination of the
youth of this nation....
That is until they are introduced to the greatest reality of life--that a SAVIOR died for them.
Along with HIS having died to free them from the guilt of sin, there is also the fact that HE desires to have HIS way in everything that concerns their lives!
The notion of praying about decisions and allowing the HOLY ONE to determine their choices is totally foreign to the average American.
But the ONE who says that HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW includes the transformation from being set upon charting their own course to following HIS.
You may be one of those independent pursuers of your own best dreams and goals. You may be one of those who cannot fathom allowing an unseen entity to govern the course of your life, but if you will relinquish the direction of your life to JESUS, you will find your way unfolding with glorious opportunities you never fathomed.
Let the LORD be your Pilot as you navigate your craft through the waters of life. With HIM, your way will be perfect.
