The GOD Who Saved Me

1. The Holy GOD you love and serve did not save you to merely turn you loose in a hostile world to fend for yourself as you battle the schemes, the attacks, the lies of the enemy of your soul. The Loving Creator does not intend for you to carry the burdens of life as a soldier carries his duffle bag on his back.

   No, HE invites you to instead, "Take MY yoke upon you for MY burden is light."

   JESUS has born the penalty of sin, the weightiest burden that man has ever known. HE has... not only carried it for every person who has ever been born into this Vale of Tears and sailed upon this River of Sorrow, but HE has also paid its high price.

   The debt each of us owes is our own life, for "the wages of sin is death..." As sinners, we each have an exorbitant debt we cannot pay, but because, "...the gift of GOD is eternal life," that debt is paid in full for anyone who will accept the sacrifice of the LORD JESUS CHRIST as payment for his sin.

   HE saved you not only so you may enjoy the wondrous eternity HE has prepared for all who will receive HIS "unspeakable GIFT," but also so you may be used to the glory of HIS holy name while you yet live.

   Allow yourself to be bathed in Calvary's cleansing font. Allow yourself to be washed whiter than snow. Allow yourself to be a living epistle, read of all men to the glory of the CHRIST who lived and died and rose again so you may be sustained through the trials and challenges of life and so you may inherit the eternal treasure HE has prepared for you.
