Today, you are receiving a gift that many people have not been given. You are the recipient of another new day to live your life in accord with the will of the HOLY ONE.
The CHRIST you profess to love and serve has a perfect plan for you. It begins with your redemption. That glorious feat was accomplished at the cross of JESUS. In spite of your foibles, in spite of your failings, in spite of your sins, HIS blood has washed the slate of your life clean. You are new, and from the moment of your salvation forward, you are equipped to do great things for HIS KINGDOM.
As HE told HIS followers to remain in Jerusalem until they had received the HOLY SPIRIT, so HE has made that glorious entity available to you, for the WORD says, "THE GIFT IS FOR YOU AND FOR YOUR CHILDREN, AND TO THOSE WHO ARE AFAR OFF, AS MANY AS THE LORD OUR GOD SHALL CALL." Acts 2:37-39
Some believe that the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT ended with the establishment of the Church, but that goes against the WORD of GOD HIMSELF who promised the viability of the gift until "that which is perfect is come." I Corinthians 13:10
Just what is "that which is perfect"? Those who disbelieve the viability of the GIFT of the HOLY SPIRIT today insist that it is JESUS. We would agree, yes, HE has come, but it is HE who gave the GIFT as HE ascended into Heaven. We would suggest that the GIFT is viable to all who will receive it until HE COMES AGAIN. (See Acts 1:11.)
The question, person of faith, becomes, "What are YOU doing with the GIFT of the HOLY SPIRIT"?
If the "same power that raised JESUS from the dead lives in you, " Romans 8:11, because HE has imparted that power to you by HIS HOLY SPIRIT within you, what are you doing with it? What should you be doing with it?
