Call to Prayer

Call to Prayer by Anonymous
Our nation is under siege from without and from within. We are in greater danger of losing our freedoms and especially our religious freedom than at any time in our history. The danger to America is greater today than it was during WW II.
During that war God’s people were engaged in fervent prayer. There wasn’t one congregation in the country that wasn’t holding weekly or daily prayer meetings. Christians were focused, passionate--because they knew their situation was desperate. God’s people knew the fate of the nation depended on God’s grace and they were resolute about seeking God until the war was over,
Today, we’re too busy, too distracted to invest time in prayer. We’ve allowed the devil To silence us because if we say anything in public we’ll be accused of taking sides in political partisanship.
The devil wants us to be divided in matters regarding race, sexuality and socialism, among many other points of conflict. We must not allow ourselves to operate in the devil’s parameters. We need to rise above the noise of conflict and disagreement that surrounds us.
We must become the congregations praying regularly for our country.
We must encourage the radio and TV preachers to call on the faithful to pour out their hearts before God on behalf of a land that has turned it’s back on Jesus!
Is there a more effective way to see the nation be destroyed than for God’s people to be indifferent?
Pray! And encourage your community's pastors to engage their congregations in frequent and fervent prayer!
If we as believers in Christ don't make the war against the soul of this nation a matter of relentless prayer, we will soon find ourselves weeping for the land of the free and the home of the brave that we have lost.
