I grew up in a household -- in an extended family -- of democrats. My parents, their parents, their siblings, and everyone in our circle of lower middle class people believed the democrats were the party of the working man. There was no thought of becoming a republican because they were the party of the rich.

In following the first night of the democratic convention, it appears that the sole focus of those in attendance is the denigration of President Trump.

The fact that they seem to have no other agenda should not be a surprise because their sole focus since he won the election has been to pull the rug from under him.

These are the people who pursued the Russian Collusion witch hunt until it was totally apparent that it was based entirely upon their lies.

The impeachment they pursued was groundless.

They bashed him as a racist when he closed our borders to the Chinese at the onset of the coronavirus to prevent its gaining momentum here, but now they are bashing him for not having done enough.

The advantage he has been to people of color in their long climb from the lower echelons of the economy has been twisted and perverted to further dub him as a racist.

And, speaking of the economy, can it be lost on any of us that the US economy was gaining momentum by leaps and bounds until the the coronavirus pandemic brought the economies of the world to a screeching halt.

Can any thinking person help but wonder if the democrats and the Chinese were in collusion regarding the pandemic? After all, the Chinese were backed into a corner by President Trump who demanded that trade should be a two-way street, not merely our purchasing their junk and their getting our money; and the democrats were chaffing at the prosperity the nation was beginning to enjoy again -- in spite of the great decline that had occurred under our previous, democratic leadership.

Does anyone else regard this relentless attack on President Trump as the traitorous endeavors of a party that was indeed once the party of the people but has become the party of world-wide government?

Does anyone else see the hand of billionaire George Soros in this as he finances the democrats as they push for globalism?

Does anyone else believe that a party that will allow cities run by democratic mayors to be burned and looted, with minority businesses to be destroyed as part of their vile scheme to undermine President Trump and his effort to lift up people of color, to strengthen the US economy for all citizens and to make this nation great again for its citizens?

Or am I just stupid?
