Bible Study

The American Bible Society released its 2022 State of the Bible survey last month.

The results aren't promising.

They discovered "an unprecedented drop in the percentage of Bible Users in the United States."

In fact, they reported that "nearly 26 million Americans reduced or stopped their interaction with Scripture in the past year."

That's tragic on so many levels.

Yet, in some ways, it's understandable.

The Bible is not an easy book to understand. And when we
do understand it, the demands that the word of God places upon our lives through the work of the Holy Spirit are high.

So some give up from boredom.

Others from confusion.

And still others from not seeing immediate fruit.

Here are some points to ponder when reading the Bible for yourself:

A Practical Guide to Studying the Bible, I answer seven essential questions about the Bible:

  1. Why do we read the Bible?
  2. How was the Bible created?
  3. Why do we need to interpret the Bible?
  4. What is the Bible about?
  5. What are the best tools for studying the Bible?
  6. What can I learn from others?
  7. How can I learn for myself?
