The Word of our Holy God does not return to Him void. It accomplishes what HE sends it to do.
These words from scripture are given as a warning to man of the circumstances that will loom before him in the time that the Bible speaks of as "the last days."
Indeed, much of what is spoken of the end times has been observable throughout time, for man, sinful man, at the essence of who he became at the fall, has not changed through the millennia of his existence.
But
something has changed, and that is the intensity and frequency of the
events about which the Bible speaks in association with the end of the
world as we know it.
Certainly, we can go about our daily lives as though these words have no significance to us. We can do our tasks with the required effort, we can enjoy our pleasures with reckless abandon, we can ignore our GOD and HIS HOLY WORD THAT CANNOT FAIL AND CANNOT LIE...
And we can come to our final destiny without excuse as to how we arrived.

Doesn't this sound like Today?
