There was a time when the Democratic party stood staunchly for the average man, but that day seems to be past.
The unfortunate reality is that this list of slogans apply to the policies of the party far too closely to be dismissed as simple humor.
It behooves every citizen to weigh his options in November very carefully, for the vote he casts will determine policies that could seal his own undoing as a free person in a free country.
It is not an overstatement to say that the 'progressive movement' has
been undermining our Constitution and our freedom for at least two
generations.
If that movement is allowed to continue--through representatives of either party--the thing President Lincoln feared might come to pass: "Government of the people, by the people, for the people..." just might "...perish from the earth."
