Endless

Endless.

We are loved with an amazing, eternal love.

Mortal man embraces the idea of immorality. Nobody wants to die, and because CHRIST died for us and because HE rose again, we have a hope that transcends our mortality and embraces eternity. Our lives will not end at death. We will simply slip beyond the veil that separates us from Heaven.

Perhaps a more difficult concept to grasp is that GOD had no beginning. To our finite minds, everything has to start somewhere, sometime, yet the HOLY ONE WHO INHABITS ETERNITY has neither end nor beginning.

HE has always been.

HE will always be.

How do we understand HIM? How do we explain HIM?

Perhaps we can't...perhaps we must simply accept what we cannot understand based on faith in the ONE who has revealed TRUTH to us.

JESUS, who is TRUTH, said to the pharisees who questioned HIS authority, "Before Abraham was, I AM."

Those two simple words, "I AM," were recognized by HIS critics as HIS assertion that HE was ONE WITH THE FATHER, that HE was ONE WITH THE CREATOR.

The BIBLE says, "IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD AND THE WORD WAS GOD. ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM, AND WITHOUT HIM WAS NOT ANYTHING MADE THAT WAS MADE." John 1:1-3

JESUS, the LIVING WORD, was with GOD at Genesis and HE WAS GOD at Genesis. Without HIM, nothing that exists would exist.

Without JESUS, there is no past, no present, no future; without JESUS, there is no right, no wrong; without JESUS, there is no truth, no lie; without JESUS, there is no you, no me.

With JESUS, everything exists. With JESUS, there is no death.

But, that HE had no beginning is difficult to fathom. Yet, had HE had a beginning, we would still be confused, for we would wonder how HE began. Because our minds are finite, because we do not fully understand eternal matters, we must accept by faith the truth HE has revealed to us.

Perhaps when we sit in the classroom of Heaven, we will ask our TEACHER how HE came to be, but maybe in Heaven, that amazing truth will simply be apparent by the revelation of who HE is.

In the meantime, perhaps we can simply rejoice in the reality that because JESUS is eternal and because everything about HIM is endless and perfect, HE has always loved us with a divine love that is beyond our ability to comprehend.
