Pray for Those in the Path of Hurricane Matthew

The Word of GOD tells us very plainly that each life will have both good and bad 'spiritual weather'.

That truth is stated in poetic language that is easily understood--"The rain falls on the just and on the unjust; the sun shines on the just and on the unjust."

Our GOD, who is "no respecter of persons" does not reserve HIS best spiritual weather for those HE favors with wealth and power while relegating HIS storms to those who are weak and weary. All of mankind will experience both the sun and the rain.

As Hurricane Matthew barrels down upon the East Coast of the United States and wreaks havoc upon those who are in its path, so do terrible spiritual storms assail the lives of many people--believers in CHRIST and unbelievers alike.

Just as we pray for safety and deliverance for those in the path of the horrific hurricane, so must we pray for safety and deliverance for those who are ravaged by the onslaught of the enemy who comes to "steal, kill and destroy" them spiritually.

Indeed, the LORD who loves us and gave HIMSELF for us has said that we should not fear what can destroy the body but that which can destroy the spirit. While weather disasters can devastate property and destroy life, the spiritual hurricanes can eradicate faith and cause eternal loss.

Yes, pray fervently for those in the path of Hurricane Matthew, but do not fail to pray also for those against whom the enemy has chosen a more subtle path of devastation.

Let's make sure we're praying for protection and peace for all in the path of Hurricane Matthew.
