Can man ever be 'worthy' of GOD? Can the Bride of Christ, the Church, ever be worthy of HIM?
According to the WORD itself, the CHURCH can because it is to be a "bride without spot or wrinkle."
Can the Bride achieve this level of purity on her own?
Without a doubt, she cannot, but she can indeed, as Tozer recommended, "...purify and elevate her concept of GOD..."
The unfortunate reality of our day is that believers have joined the world in its disparagement of all things holy.
The people who call themselves by HIS name take HIS name in vain, break HIS law at will, deny HIS power in the day-to-day circumstances of their lives and allow their government to usurp HIS holy canon for the contrived laws and rights of mere mortals.
May we ponder Tozer's admonition carefully and determine to be the Bride for whom CHRIST is returning, remembering that if our lamp is out of oil, HE will not wait for us to refill it.
