Restoration

We live in a "throw-away society." If something doesn't work, if something breaks, we dispose of it and get another one.

It hasn't always been that way.

Once we took old shoes to a shoemaker to have them restored.
Once we darned the holes in socks.
Once we fixed broken tools.

People today are inclined to replace old things rather than to repair them, and that attitude is evidenced in marriages.

The divorce rate--even in the church--is very high, and many people are "serial divorcers"--they have been married and divorced and married and divorced again, sometimes several times.

There is a different approach to the broken marriage, an alternative that does not include the divorce court.

That alternative requires the help of JESUS--and HIS help never fails.

God can restore broken families.
