I
do not presume to speak for anyone but myself, so for myself I say that
Barack Obama and his policies as president were reprehensible to me.
From his social manipulation of our military to his liberal Supreme Court appointees, to his squandering of U.S. taxpayer resources on ventures such as the Paris Climate Agreement and the relegating of vast amounts of American monies into the Arab Spring, his use of the power of his office appeared to be devastating, even traitorous, to the United States.

But in the entirety of his eight years in office, I never wished him
ill. I never plotted or schemed against him--I prayed for him. I
implored the God that I love to touch his heart and make him a good and
man who loves JESUS and who would employ his power toward godly
purposes.
The opposition to President Trump has taken a totally different approach; their words are seditious and cruel and traitorous and godless. There was a time in this country when one whose actions bordered on those of Kathy Griffin would have been incarcerated for treason.
The vitriol spewed against President Trump is so vicious that it seems to spring not from human hearts and lips but from a demonic source.
Why would the forces of evil be so intent upon the evisceration of this president?
Perhaps it is because he is indeed GOD'S man "for such a time as this."
Perhaps it is because he is indeed GOD'S leader for this hour when evil has become a flood that washes over all our institutions and virtually all our citizenry.
Is Donald Trump a perfect man? Indeed not...for how could GOD have chosen a perfect man? There are no perfect men.
Perhaps it is because Mr. Trump has a bold heart. Perhaps it is because he has an affinity for the faith of our fathers. Perhaps it is because he is a staunch patriot in a day when our children don't even know the Pledge to the Flag.
May believers in CHRIST pray for this man, even as they prayed for his predecessor. May GOD have his way in this man whom HE loves (for HE loves all men) and in whom HE sees a maliable heart and will.
And may believers pray for the vitriolic haters...that they will see the diabolic source of their feelings and their words against this man...that they will see and repent and turn to the CHRIST who spent HIMSELF for love, not for hatred.
