Pray Hardest When It's Hardest to Pray

"We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12

No matter the nature of the attack against a man, whether his problem is physical, financial, professional, relational, emotional, political, or any of the myriad difficulties the enemy chooses to un-do the believer, the truth is that the mischief of God's ancient foe is behind it.

The truth is that old slewfoot "comes to steal, kill, and destroy." John 10:10 The truth is that he is always intent upon upsetting the plan and purpose of God in each believer's life, which is to impart the entire salvation package to everyone who trusts "the name that is above all names." Philippians 2:9

JESUS came to set men free from sin by dying on a cross where the punishment for every sin of every man was meted out upon Him. JESUS bore the stripes on His sinless back to bring healing to the sick. Isaiah 53:5 There is power in the blood He shed and that power, which raised HIM from the dead, dwells in every believer. Romans 8:11

Yet the enemy comes with his evil intent. Although he is brazen and determined to wrest the believer from the hand that rescued him from sin, the believer does not need to submit to the role of victim of this insidious foe!

The believer must trust the One who died for Him, the One who lives in his heart and who is "greater than he who is in the world." I John 4:4

The believer must "pray without ceasing." I Thessalonians 5:17

The believer must speak the Word and believe the Truth. Matthew 9:29

The believer must "fear not, for GOD is with him." Isaiah 41:10

The believer must give control to the LORD.
The believer will then be privileged to see God work.

By giving control to Him, He will cause the work to prosper, fulfilling the promise, "As you have believed, so shall it be done to you," Matthew 21:21

Pray hardest when it's hardest to pray!
