The up-coming election is crucial to the future of America.
Those who want to 'fundamentally change' this great nation have made formidable inroads in the current administration, and there are those citizens who are delighted with the transition.
From the vantage point of a lover of freedom and a proponent of the government set up by our founding fathers, these changes will work to the un-doing of the country, for socialism and communism have failed everywhere they have been installed.
Whereas in other places these governments have resulted because of
military might, in this country, the change is coming through the ballot
box, but it will be no less devastating when it is fully in place.
The voter must apprise himself of the policies and goals of each candidate and cast his vote wisely, or "government of the people, by the people, for the people," will indeed "perish from the earth," not through war and conquest but through the foolish desire of men to live in a nanny state where indolence is rewarded by the largess of the state.
As Margaret Thatcher wisely observed, "Socialism works only until other people's money runs out."
As the Bible wisely observes regarding socialism, "Those who will not work should not eat." II Thessalonians 3:10
Socialism, communism are anti-biblical, anti-freedom, anti-prosperity. We allow the encroachment of these twin devils into our society at our own peril.
