It's Over

It's over.

What has been perhaps the most contentious presidential campaign in history is now behind us.
Donald Trump, age 70, of Queens, New York, is our president elect.

Trump ran a whirlwind campaign that left 15 other Republican contenders in the dust as his simple message of "Make AMERICA Great Again" resonated to the AMERICAN people.

Donald Trump has been in the news for decades. His wealth and his personal 'escapades' have made him a topic of interest to the news illiterate but tabloid-saturated populace. His three wives and bombastic temperament have caused him to be quite an interesting person to follow.

But the possibility of his ever becoming president crossed few minds. Oh, yes, Oprah, insightful Oprah, saw the potential and posed the question to a much younger Trump decades ago. At that time he stated that he would run for president only if the circumstances were so egregious that he had no alternative.

So, this man who professes to love AMERICA took up the challenge and initiated the campaign that has resulted in his being elected by the people of this great nation to be the 45th President of the United States.

Those who are not happy with this turn of events have already protested outside the White House.
Those who are happy with Trump's election are celebrating.

Those who preferred him only slightly above his major competitor are simply glad that he's been elected and not Hillary Clinton.

May GOD bless AMERICA.
