Original Names

How is it that the disciples of Jesus all had English names, Matthew, Mark, Luke, etc., but not an Abdul among them? They hadn’t. Matthew’s original name was Matityahu Mark’s was Marqos Luke’s was Lūqās. Not even Jesus’s original name was Jesus but Yēšūă. The names were latinized from Greek or Hebrew and the Latin names were then anglicized.
