Peace between Cultures

Peace between Cultures by Max Lucado

When I think about who the first person was to bring peace between two different people/cultures I always go to Martin Luther King, but in reality, he was not the first. He who was first is actually the One who is first in all good things. Jesus.

Let's pray this over our nation as well as our churches at this juncture in time, so all people who profess faith in CHRIST will come to clearly see that there is no one who is lower than another, nor anyone who is above. The only one who is truly above is Christ, our Lord and Savior.

God teaches unity in faith as well as order to life.

God has had a plan from the get go, and it includes equality and unity; we just need to be in His Word to learn and obey the directives, the TRUTH, He sets before us.

The pure genius of God's plan defies the understanding of the human mind that is not surrendered to His mind. His genius includes these principles, which are found in His Holy Word.

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, there is neither male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus,” Galatians 3:28.

Consider the genius of God’s plan. The first generation of Christians was a tinderbox of contrasting cultures and backgrounds. At least 15 different nationalities heard Peter’s sermon on the day of Pentecost. Jews stood next to Gentiles and men worshiped with women.

The world wondered, "Can people of such varied backgrounds and cultures get along with each other?"

We wonder the same today.

Can Democrats find common ground with Republicans? Can a Christian family carry on a civil friendship with the Muslim couple down the street?

The early church did—without church buildings, clergy or seminaries. . .through the clearest of messages—the cross. The simplest of tools—the home!

God’s plan of peace is indeed pure genius!
