Spring for Dinner

Spring for Dinner

Roger Goodell is the Chairman of the NFL. Mr. Goodell's contract with the organization has just been extended and his salary has been announced...it is $200 million.

Quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots has quipped that perhaps Mr. Goodell might now be able to pick up the tab when he dines with friends.

Brady suggested that Goodell might even invite him out for dinner.

Those who remember the indignity Brady endured because of Goodell will appreciate the quarterback's humor.

Tom Brady is a hero in the eyes of many people, old and young. He is the best at what he does. The current term for one who holds Brady's distinction of being at the pinnacle of his field is that he is the "GOAT"... the "greatest of all time."

Those who admire Brady on the football field as well as those who root against him and his illustrious team must concede that all people would do well to adopt Brady's attitude.

Everyone has, or will at some point in life, face adversity. It may be a consequence of an error in judgement or it may be the outcome of malicious lies...but whatever may be its cause, it is important that one enables himself to move beyond it.

By applying humor to the situation, the perplexity can be deflated (no pun intended).

Tom Brady has wisely refused to allow his professionalism or his integrity to be compromised by unfortunate circumstances. He has chosen rather to rise above them and to allow his skill and his determination to win to speak for themselves.

Are you willing to do that in the face of of your crisis?
