Fill Us Again
O, LORD GOD, we who believe in the life, propitiatory death, and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST invite YOU into the heart of this nation. We invite you to move among our people and stir us to revival.
We ask YOU to move among those who lead and who would lead us. We ask You to move among our children and among their educators. Where there has been selfishness and subterfuge and indifference, we pray there will be passion for truth and righteousness.
As YOU moved at the Azuza Street revival and infilled those who were seeking you with the power of YOUR HOLY SPIRIT, we ask YOU to fill us again.
We may not be seeking YOU as they were, our hearts may not even be open to YOU, but we beseech YOU, HOLY GOD to supersede our indifference, our worldliness, and confront us with the reality of our need.
In the face of our own spiritual wantonness and in the face of the global wash of sin that floods us, may we embrace YOUR HOLY SPIRIT afresh and allow YOUR presence within us to make us mighty people of valor in the Army of JESUS CHRIST, our SAVIOR, our LORD, our SOON-COMING KING.
