Law-Abiding vs. Lawless

Law-Abiding vs. Lawless by Bill Wilson

Socialist Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez defeated ten-term Democratic incumbent Congressman Joe Crowley in New York's 14th congressional district. Ocasio-Cortez ran on a platform of abolishing the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency. Photos of her campaigning on election day had people carrying signs in the background that said, "We will not go back," raising at the very least the question of illegal voting. Hollywood stars freaked out about the Supreme Court decision to uphold President Donald Trump's travel ban of people from certain terrorist-friendly countries. The regressive left and its lapdog media are amplifying headlines about Trump and those who voted for him being Nazis.

Protests organized by anarchist and socialist/communist groups have erupted around the country. They are willing allies whenever they can be convinced that their political foes are Nazis. It is a classic brainwashing that the so-called news media is fueling. Let us remember that the Nazis hunted down Jews in Europe and systematically exterminated upwards of six million Jewish men, women and children in what is known as the Holocaust. The American Nazi Party's motto is "Advancing National-Socialism into the 21st Century." It is totally dedicated to advancing the Aryan race. This is a far cry from the Republican Party and the Trump Administration.

The Democratic Socialists of America say they are socialists because they are against private profit, they support a "humane international social order" with central planning and "equitable distribution" of resources. This is not too far from the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Party platform, which promotes wealth redistribution by "making the wealthy pay their fair share," supporting legal immigration "within reasonable limits," and "universal" healthcare, which means socialist healthcare. There is not much difference between the Democratic Socialists and the Democratic Party, one is a subset of the other, and the Democratic Party fully supports socialist candidates who win the party's nomination.

This pits those who embrace the Constitutional rule of law against those who want no rule of law, only majority rule. There is the law-abiding and the lawless. Those who want majority rule will do anything they can to achieve their goal, including encouraging breaking the law. We are seeing this play out day by day. It is akin to those who abide by the rule of God's law and those who are rebellious. Acts 5:29 sums up how followers of Christ should view this: "We ought to obey God rather than men." In rejecting Saul as King, Samuel said in 1 Samuel 15:23, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft...Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you..." Socialism/Communism rejects God's word by its own admission that government supersedes God. It is the lawless path. Do not be snared by it.
