Outcry

Outcry for removal of Rep. Omar from Foreign Affairs Committee - WND
A coalition of Jewish organizations has written to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., insisting that Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., be removed from the House Foreign Affairs Committee because of her anti- Semitism. The call was echoed Monday by Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., in a network television interview. The coalition, including the Endowment for Middle East Truth, ACT For America, Americans for Peace and Tolerance and the Center for Security Policy, asserted in a letter obtained by the Washington Free Beacon that Omar should be removed "immediately."[Please see excerpt, below]
The committee plays a key role in supporting the U.S.-Israel military alliance, and the groups insist she's unqualified to be a member. "In light of Rep. Ilhan Omar's recent anti-Semitic tweets, statements, and address before Islamic Relief USA on Saturday, February 23rd, we, the undersigned organizations, request that you immediately remove her as a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee," the groups wrote. - Lord, we pray for the very soul of Ilhan Omar, who has been trained since childhood to hate Israel and the Jews. We ask that You would find a place where Your Light can reach through the darkness in her heart. If she refuses to respond to your Spirit, we pray for You to remove her from committees that are a detriment to Your people and the nation.

Rep. Biggs: Democratic Leadership Being 'Held Hostage' by Far-Left Lawmakers - Fox News
The House last week passed a resolution that called out bigotry of all kinds without directly condemning Rep. Ilhan Omar for allegedly anti-Semitic remarks. Omar (D-Minn.) has drawn strong criticism in recent weeks for her remarks about Israel and U.S. support of the Jewish state. The final vote on the resolution was 407 to 23, with 23 Republicans voting no, and all Democrats, including Omar, voting yes.
One of the "no" votes was Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), who said the resolution was turned into "world peace resolution," as opposed to a rebuke specific to Omar's anti-Semitic rhetoric. Biggs also took issue with several Democratic leaders -- such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) -- making excuses for Omar or deflecting from the issue.
"We need to call out a problem that we have and deal with, and they weren't dealing with the problem," Biggs said. He added that he "absolutely" agrees with Rep. Liz Cheney's assessment (R-Wy.) that Democratic leadership is "protecting" Omar.
He said that the failure by Pelosi and other Democratic leaders to condemn Omar just enables her to continue making anti-Semitic comments, which he said was "tragic." "It shows that there is a conflict at the top of this Democrat Party that is being actually held hostage -- in many respect, in my opinion -- by the young people that just came in," Biggs said. - Father God, we thank You that Rep. Biggs is speaking TRUTH to power in the Halls of Congress. We commend him for his courage and the accuracy of his words, and we bind all spirits of backlash that would be directed against him as a result of his statements today. In Your Name, amen.
- No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)
Gohmert on Voting Against Anti-Hate Resolution: 'We Need to Take on Clearly-Expressed Anti-Semitism' - Fox News
House Judiciary Committee Member Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said Friday that there should be no confusion as to why he and a handful of other Republicans voted against the anti-hate resolution in Congress.
Gohmert said that Congress "needed to take on the anti-Semitism that was clearly expressed" by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.). "We didn't address it," he said, adding that violence against Trump supporters and the attempted murder of Republican Whip Steve Scalise are separate from discriminating against a group based on religion. "This [has] to be called out -- that's how the Holocaust began . . . people stopped calling [anti-Semitism] out," he said.
- Father God, we agree with this statement by Congressman Louie Gohmert, and we ask that action be taken immediately in the U.S. House of Representatives to rectify the mistake that happened last week. In Your Name, amen.
- "But let your statement be, 'Yes, yes ' or 'No, no'; anything beyond these is of evil." (Matthew 5:37)
Dept. of Homeland Security urged to investigate Rep Omar - WND
Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Democrat from Minnesota, a Muslim and a newcomer to Congress, already is causing controversy, with a series of anti-Semitic comments, her defense of al-Qaida, her explosions at reporters and her alignment with an extreme left faction in the Democratic Party. She's already the target of a petition demanding her resignation. Now, the Department of Homeland Security is being urged to investigate her and begin deportation or other removal proceedings.
The petition was submitted to DHS by former Justice Department prosecutor Larry Klayman, who this week added a demand that the House of Representatives "investigate, consider and take remedial action" on the issue. "Rep. Ilhan Omar, according to extensive reporting by investigative journalists, married her own brother in a sham marriage constituting immigration fraud (while still with her first husband). The basis of Omar's citizenship remains murky, yet her own U.S. citizenship could also prove to be invalid. The sham marriage certainly invalidates her brother's citizenship and Omar could be prosecuted. Conviction of a crime - or ties to terrorist organizations - could also cause Omar to lose her naturalized citizenship," Klayman's statement said.
The DHS was asked to accept evidence in Omar's case, require sworn testimony, search records and investigate "the highly suspect, evasive, ambiguous, apparently false and non-responsive statements and fraudulent alibis of Ilhan Omar."
NBC News reported the current effort in Congress "began as a fresh effort to condemn anti-Semitism in the wake of Rep. Ilhan Omar's latest controversial comments." But it expanded into a vast argument "exposing deep fault lines" among Democrats.
The earlier petition urging Omar's resignation was launched by Laurie Cardoza-Moore, the president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations. It cites the "shameful anti-Semitic messaging" from Omar. It also mentions her links to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which "was listed as an unindicted co- conspirator in the largest terrorist fundraising operation in the history of the U.S." Omar also helped raise funds for Islamic Relief USA, which has been linked to the financing of terrorism.
- Lord, if this is true, then we pray that Omar will be impeached and removed from Congress.
- "For still my prayer is against the deeds of the wicked." (Psalm 141:5d
2020: Democratic Candidates Undermine State Dept's Definition of Antisemitism with Ilhan Omar Defense - Breitbart
In defending Rep. Ilhan Omar's antisemitic tropes suggesting pro-Israel interests pushed allegiance to a "foreign country" or that pro-Israel politicians are motivated by financial support, some progressive Democrats seem to be arguing against the State Department's very definition of antisemitism.
Prominent among Omar defenders are Senators Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren, each of whom are 2020 presidential contenders. In attempting to explain away allegations of anti-Semitism, Omar trotted out the age-old antisemitic canard insinuating Jews are more loyal to Israel or to some larger Jewish conspiracy.
- Lord, we ask that this whole situation surrounding Omar would have the effect of bringing the Jewish people both here and in Israel to Yourself. And may they no longer vote by tradition, but by wisdom.
- "And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins." (Romans 11:26b, 27)
Fox News Attacks One of Their Own, Condemns Judge Jeanine over Ilhan Omar Comment - Western Journal
Fox News condemned host Jeanine Pirro on Sunday over a comment she made Saturday about Democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
Omar, who is a Muslim, has ignited furor in recent days with her allegations that legislators supporting Israel have dual loyalty. As reported by The Western Journal, her allegations have stirred the wrath of many who thought she could be a unifying factor in Congress.
Pirro, who hosts the show "Justice with Judge Jeanine," spoke about Omar Saturday night. "Think about this: She's not getting this anti-Israel sentiment doctrine from the Democrat Party. So if it's not rooted in the party, where is she getting it from?" Pirro said. "Think about it. Omar wears a hijab, which, according to the Quran 33:59, tells women to cover so they won't get molested," Pirro said. "Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?" she asked.
The remark was over the line, Fox News ruled. "We strongly condemn Jeanine Pirro's comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar," Fox News said in a statement. "They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly."
