It’s hard to watch the news these days and not get angry. I am so tired of politicians lying to me. My flesh begins to well up and I want to go after that politician on my TV screen with a clinched fist.

Then the Holy Spirit says, “That’s not the way you win this battle.”

The Leviathan principality is alive and well in Washington, DC. Leviathan’s core characteristic is to manipulate truth. (Leviathan is mentioned in Job and the Psalms). He wants things to appear as though they are real and true, but in reality, they are not.

Perception is not reality in the context of Leviathan.

As believers, it is our responsibility to investigate what these leaders are saying and get to the truth, regardless of your political party. Truth must reign in a nation or there will be lawlessness as we are seeing increase in our nation today.

We are fighting spiritual forces in high places. There are lots of demons in Washington, DC.

Why?

Because it the place of power in our nation. (Ephesians 6:12).

These demons incite ungodly leaders to exercise maximum control and deception to maintain control and power over the people. It’s designed to manipulate the public. And they want to get rid of any Christ-based governance in the nation. The more chaos, the better they like it.

It’s important we take stands against unrighteousness in our nation. However, that alone will not defeat the principalities designed to take our nation down. WE MUST PRAY.

The Bible gives us a very clear strategy to fight spiritual principalities that want to take our nation down. It is found in this verse:

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Ezekiel 22:30 says God is looking for a man or woman who will stand at the wall on behalf of the nation so he would not have to destroy it, but He could find no one. Don’t let that be said of you and me.

I want to challenge you to be intentional about praying for our nation right now for 31 days. There are critical issues taking place in our nation.

Intense prayer is needed at this time.
