What to Believe?

 What to Believe?

As the post-election chaos continues, charismatic Christians everywhere are asking what to think and whom to believe. Jane Hamon, a woman of great faith, has some key prophetic words during this season that point us back to the Lord and His great plans for our nation in both the short term and in the long term.
Hamon says we must remain in warfare over the many prophecies given regarding this election season, and we must also stand ready for what she says is America's divine destiny. She says that "divine destiny" is a coming and it will be a pandemic of revival, a third Great Awakening.
"Many Christian leaders preached out of 2 Chronicles 20:20, which says, 'Believe the Lord, and you'll be established; believe His prophets, and you will prosper,'" she says. "I don't think that we should find ourselves in a state of surprise, where we're actually having to believe the prophets at this moment, and believe what has been a preponderance of prophetic words, regarding this particular election season and the place that we find ourselves now.
"I think God wants to keep us focused in prayer," Hamon adds. "God wants to keep us focused in believing the Lord and in trusting the words that have come through so many different prophets during this season of dreams and visions. I believe that we would be remiss if we just threw up our hands and said, 'Well, that's that.'"
"I think that we're really in a place that First Timothy tells us to war, a warfare with the prophecies that have gone before us," Hamon says. "And that's our responsibility. It's God's responsibility for the outcome, but it's our responsibility to align with what the prophets have said. To pray, to decree and to war against the forces of darkness and corruption that would like to rob this nation from its destiny and purpose--the destiny and purpose that God has called us to."
Haman believes that, despite the current chaos, the church is already moving into a season of revival, starting with movements such as Sean Feucht's "Let Us Worship" events. She says this revival will look different than the Toronto Blessing or the Brownsville Revival of years past, and that this awakening will be largely outside the church.
Hamon says God told her, "'An awakening is an epidemic of revival, or pandemic.' A revival today, in other words, you catch it, then everybody you get around catches it, and everybody they get around catches it. I don't believe that we're in a COVID crisis or any kind of economic growth crisis; I believe that we're in a spiritual crisis for the heart of a nation. ... It's going to be a widespread, massive move of God, but it's got to start with every single believer in Christ."
Hamon also has words of encouragement for us about where we are right now. "I think we must have understanding that God has a plan in the midst of all the chaos that's going on. ... He warned us at the beginning of the year when He said, 'Listen, this is going to be a year that you're going to have to overcome some things.'
"That's the only way you become an overcomer, is to overcome some things," Haman says. "You're going to have to stay focused on what Jesus has spoken to each individual; each person is going to have to get focused. And we're going to have to get very optimistic about the promises of God, that His promises are for revival and awakening; His promises are for a mighty comeback. In the United States of America ... I believe the church is rising; the church is waking up.
The churches being set on fire by the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The enemy's trying to bring a lot of discouragement and a lot of despair to believers, and I really believe that it's time for people to shake themselves and wake themselves and recognize that we're coming into the church's greatest hour."
"The destiny of our nation is waking up, the destiny of individuals is waking up, people are coming into deeper faith. I believe we are coming into our greatest time, our greatest hour,
I believe that God is going to use the United States to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth again, and I believe that God is waking up believers out of their slumber and bringing them into a full expression of the destiny, the purpose, the calling of God."
