There is an aspect of Christianity that I find few people understand. It’s the knowledge that our spoken words have power. Here are some Biblical examples of the spoken word being powerful:

1. Moses’ spoke to the rock water gushed forth.

2. Joshua spoke to the walls of Jericho and they came tumbling down.

3. Peter spoke to the blind man and his sight was restored.

4. Jesus spoke to Lazarus in the tomb and he arose to restored life.

5. Jesus reprimanded the fig tree and it withered .

6. Jesus calmed the waters with the words, "Peace, be still."

Have we been missing something in our Christian life by not understanding the spiritual dynamics of the spoken Word? May we study the WORD of GOD so we may apprehend the power our own words have when we use them as HE has directed us.

May we apply the promises that assure us, "the same power that raised JESUS from the dead lives in us," and may we transform not only our circumstances but the world around us by the amazing power HE says is ours.
