Accord

The following comments by Speaker Ryan and Leader Pelosi reflect a sense of unity that is rarely evidenced by both sides of the aisle.

Although it took a tragedy for it to manifest itself, we, the citizens of this great nation, we the voters who elected the speaker and the leader to their posts, are thankful that they have been able to reach an accord at this time when all those who love America are deeply shaken.

We hope the unity they have expressed at this tragic crossroad will enable them to go forward together toward goals that will advantage our country, toward objectives that will put our enemies to flight because they will be able to readily see the bond of Americanism that unites is.

We hope that by their example of patriotism and cooperation they will be able to instill within their constituents the sense of accord we all need to support our president, to support our congressional leaders and to support this nation against all her enemies--foreign and domestic.
