Sometimes we as believers in Christ seem to forget that HE has admonished us to, "come out and be separate," II Corinthians 6:17.

Our Holy God doesn't expect us to condone the world or to accept the world or to emulate the world. We are to be different. We are to maintain a complete allegiance to the law and to the character of our God and Savior who "changes not," Malachi 3:6.

When we allow ourselves to be tossed to and fro by the world, we are turning the Bride of Christ into a soiled, powerless, prostituted reflection of the worst aspects of the doubters and scoffers of the world rather than allowing her to be a powerful reflection of the Living Lord.

May He help us to repent of our complacency as we see the plummet of His Church into the ever-deepening abyss of worldliness and sin. May HE help us to stand strong against the lure of the night so we may be faithful to reflect the truth and power and changlessness of the only One who is Light.

Let us not make Jesus' great sacrifice for us of none effect because we slouch from our lofty position as blood-bought children of our Holy God to being wanton emulators of the depraved followers of evil.
