To overcome the "yesterday's victim" syndrome, remind yourself that the CHRIST you love and serve is the GOD of the present. Although HE permitted the events of the past to occur, although HE has all insight into tomorrow, HE is the LORD of today--and HE wants people of faith to trust in HIS LORDSHIP for the moment as well as for eternity.
When you stand on the authority your GOD has given to you, when you trust in HIS HOLY WORD in the now, you have taken a very important step toward receiving the insight, the strength, the resolve to go forward in power.
You have removed from yourself the shackles that bind you to past mistakes that hinder your forward progression into today's blessings. You have released yourself from a self-imposed prison of defeat into your GOD-given journey to victory!
