Philippians 4:8--"Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are right, whatsoever things are good, think on these things."
What you think becomes what you do...it behooves everyone to think upon good and godly things so our actions will be good and godly.
If our focus is on temporal things, we will be consumed with the things of the world. And that is not to say we should be "so heavenly minded that we are no earthly good," rather that is to say that the things of the world are fleeting and will be gone in the twinkling of an eye.
The things that are important to the KINGDOM OF CHRIST are the things
that will abide eternally. These eternal things are those that we must
ponder.
