“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that believers all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.” I Peter 5:8-9
Although you take no delight in the suffering of fellow human beings, the reality is that the suffering of man is universal; the persecution for religious conviction, however, seems to be reserved almost exclusively for believers in CHRIST.
Persecution is not unknown to other belief systems, but the intensity
and frequency of it seem to be directed to those who have received JESUS
as their SAVIOR.
GOD'S ancient foe, the one who goes about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may destroy, has from the inception of faith in the ONE TRUE and LIVING GOD, directed his diabolical energy against the people who have sought to know the ONE who is TRUTH.
Indeed, why would the 'father of lies' persecute those who embrace his lies? Why would the author of confusion and doubt unleash his demons against those who dwell in confusion and doubt?
But, for those who are the object of his terrors, there is solace, there is refuge, there is safety in the immutable WORD of our LIVING GOD.
The HOLY BIBLE itself says, "Seek ye out of the BOOK of the LORD and read." GOD'S WORD admonishes you to delve into its TRUTH.
Within the pages of scripture, you will find help for every need.
You will find conviction for every doubt.
You will find deliverance from every sin.
You will find remedy for every disease.
You will find truth for every lie.
Read GOD'S love letter to you, that you may indeed be strengthened and filled with joy.
