Another Goodbye

We shared much of life.
We love the same people.
We shared the same name.
Our babies came at the same time.
Although the circumstances
Of our lives took us in different directions,
We remained connected by the bonds
Of shared faith and abiding love.
As you take your journey into forever
A part of me goes with you,
For time and distance have never
Separated us from our connectedness.
And they never will.
