LORD JESUS, another tragedy is unfolding in this nation that was established on the principles contained in YOUR WORD. We know we have fallen away from the faith of our founding fathers, we know we have embraced the world and its allurements, yet we ask YOU to intervene into the quandary of our twisted logic and perverted values and restore us to our heritage of freedom and safety and truth.
We ask YOU to sweep over this land by the power of YOUR HOLY SPIRIT and to turn the hearts of our people back to our "First Love," back to the faith of our fathers.
We plead II Chronicles 7:14 before YOUR throne of mercy and grace that says, "If MY people, who are called by MY name, will humble themselves and pray and seek MY face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land."
Help us to call upon YOU, JESUS, to humbly bow before YOU, our LIVING and ETERNAL GOD that YOU may wash us and set us free from the unending consequence of sin.
