A Prayer

Lord, we beseech you to allow our nation and the world to quickly recover from this scourge that has come upon us.

We believe the evil that confronts us is because you have allowed it as a warning to us. This scourge is a wake up call from God Himself to remind us that "the wages of sin is death."

In the face of this pandemic, may we get on our knees, repent of our sins, re-dedicate our lives to God our Creator, and begin to live according to the Truth of His Word.

Lord Jesus, at this time of anxiety and sickness and death, we plead II Chronicles 7:14 before you. We repent of our sin and turn from our wicked ways as we should. May you hear the prayer of our repentant hearts, forgive us and heal us and heal our land.

We know as your people of old rejected the warnings you gave them through your prophets, so we have rejected your warnings many times. Like your ancient people, we deserve to experience your wrath and judgment but we plead your mercy, your forgiveness, and your blessings to counter the evil we have brought upon ourselves.

It is in the name of JESUS we pray, amen.
