Election Cliffhanger
This presidential election is quite different from others. We are in day #2 beyond election day and still don't have a clear winner, although it appears Joe Biden will be the next occupant of the Oval Office.
Because of voting irregularities -- such as finding a parcel of 100,000 votes that are all for Biden as well as the blocking of poling place monitors from doing their job of assuring everything was done honestly at the poles, many Republicans are uncertain of the fairness of the ultimate election results.
President Trump has indicated he will endeavor to affirm the election outcome via all means available to him.
But, in the meantime, what should we, the voters do?
If you are a person of faith, continue to pray that the LORD'S man for this juncture in time will attain the highest office in the land. The BIBLE is very clear, "GOD sets up one and puts down another." (Psalm 75:7).
In light of recent revelations about the nefarious dealings of Joe Biden and his son Hunter and his brother James, having Joe assume the role of President of the United States is tantamount to our founding fathers having elected Benedict Arnold to that office.
Yet, if we believe GOD is in charge, if Biden is elected, it behooves CHRISTIANS to pray for him, as we are admonished to do for our leaders.
The possibility is that after the Obama denigration of this nation, we were given a patriotic president for a short period of time, a time in which to pray for revival and to overturn laws -- such as abortion that literally murders babies within their mothers' wombs -- and we did not; we persisted in our wicked pursuit of self gratification.
Perhaps we were given an opportunity to embrace the BIBLICAL admonition in II Chronicles 7:14, "IF MY PEOPLE, WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN AND FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND HEAL THEIR LAND," and we did not.
Someone wise once said, "The people have the leader they deserve." Perhaps we deserve Joe Biden, antipatriot, a man who professes faith in CHRIST but who has said, "If anyone criticizes my faith, I'll shove my rosary beads up their ass."
So, believer, pray for another stay of the sentence of socialism that seems to be hanging over this free nation. Pray that a man who invites religious leaders into the White House regularly and who believes in the power of prayer to be re-elected.
But, be mindful of GOD'S admonition to you to pray for whoever HE allows to occupy the Oval Office, remembering that "The effectual, fervent prayers of a righteous man (woman) availeth much," James 5:16.
